About
Terence Mandable

Terence (Terry) Mandable is Neuralink patient 25 and the third participant in the VOICE trial, which tests whether the implant can restore speech. He was diagnosed with bulbar-onset ALS in 2024, a form of the disease that takes speech first while the arms and legs keep working. His implant is in the speech motor region and has 3,000 channels. In September 2026 Neuralink shared video of him telling his wife "I love you" in a voice decoded from his brain and rebuilt from recordings made before ALS, and CBS Evening News covered his story.
