Bits per second measures how much information a person sends through a BCI each second, combining speed and accuracy.
Neuralink scores it on Webgrid, a target-clicking game, where able-bodied people using a mouse average about 8 to 10 BPS (Neuralink). On October 1, 2026, Neuralink reported a new BCI record of 11.32 BPS, up from 10.39, with its median participant near 10 BPS (Neuralink).
