CAN-PRIME is the Canadian version of Neuralink's PRIME study.
It runs at Toronto Western Hospital, part of University Health Network (NCT06700304), and was approved in November 2024. Two men with quadriplegia were implanted there in August and September 2025. In May 2026, Lee Marten, a Vancouver police sergeant with ALS, became the first person to receive threads inserted through the dura (Neura Pod, July 2026).
